Stills from time-laps recording

These are stills from my video, which was made by taking a cast from my disabled hand in clay, with a wax sculpture of my non-disabled hand attached to it. Using the method of time-lapse recording, I filmed the wax cast melting, which left only the clay cast remaining. I later reversed the footage, which looks like my hand is growing.

Animation for autobiography project

This animation is part of my personal, autobiography project, in which I have explored my own disability. I experimented with different ways of representing my disadvantage, the video shows my personal feelings towards my own disability and how I feel like if something is missing.

CD booklet for autobiography

As part of a graphic design brief, I had to create a CD booklet advertising myself. The booklet was created mainly digitally using real photos and text, then I drew over it on a new layer in Photoshop to give it a free hand style. I chose colours, which I represented myself and my interests well.

Character studies

These are different character studies and observational drawings. I used different technique on all of them to capture the emotion and mood of the subjects. I combined fine liner with water and ink to express the pain that the subject on the left was going through.

Visual Narrative

These are a selection of illustrations from my visual narrative assignment. I started the project using storyboards to organise and plan my illustrated narrative. I experimented with a range of different kinds of media, which helped to develop detailed frames. I chose soft pastel in my final outcomes, because it created a dark atmosphere which I felt went perfectly with the story and it's settings.

Illustrations & sketches

These are illustrations and studies I did in my own time. They usually started of as doodles, but later grow into pieces of art in there own right. The theme of the illustration is normally something that interests me and something where I can use my imagination.

Prints of botanical forms

These two examples of lino prints capture different aspects of botanical forms.
